    Description

    Here's a vintage Hatchet made by Bridgeport Tool Company for the Boy Scouts of America.   These were available from BSA as No.1424 from 1934-1948.   This one is all original with remnants of the yellow lettering still on the steel handle and some red on the hickory wood grips and black on the head.  It's AS FOUND and could be cleaned up some.  Head shows use and re-sharpening but very nice condition.  Grips are tight and no cracks.  Comes with the original BSA-stamped Leather Sheath that's pretty tender and suitable for display.  Also includes a later handmade leather sheath that's supple and very usable today.  A nice example.  Guaranteed to please the new owner or I'll buy it back.
